What is it?
RHEUMATICA® capsules contain harpagophytum
procumbens (otherwise known as Devil’s Claw).
RHEUMATICA® capsules are used for the temporary
relief of pain associated with arthritis.
Devils claw is traditionally used in herbal medicine
for the temporary relief of muscular aches and
pains, sprains, and inflammation and for the
temporary relief of lower back pain

What is Devils Claw?
Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) is a South African plant.
Devil’s claw is most often used to treat joint pain, whether caused by osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. Traditionally used in herbal medicine to relieve pain. Additionally Devil’s Claw has been used in traditional medicine for the temporary relief of muscular aches and pains, sprains and inflammation. Devil’s Claw may also be helpful for those who have non specific lower back pain.
Mode of Action
Although the exact mode of action is
unclear, devil’s claws principal use for
inflammatory conditions is attributed to its
ingredients effect on inhibiting two potent
inflammatory enzymes, COX-2 and nitric oxide
synthetase. This creates support for joint, ligament
and tendon problems. Devil's claw is reported to
help with joint pain while improving vitality in the
joint.
What is in it?
RHEUMATICA® contains Harpagophytum procumbens powder
equivalent to 435mg dry secondary root, standardized
to provide 10.9mg glucoiridoids per capsule.
RHEUMATICA® is Gluten-free and contains no
artificial flavourings or colours. It is also
suitable for vegetarians.
Precautions, Contraindications and Side Effects
In rare cases patients may experience some
gastrointestinal upset.
Not to be used in pregnant or nursing mothers.
Directions for Use
Take 1-2 RHEUMATICA® capsules three times a day with water at mealtimes. If symptoms persist consult your healthcare practitioner.
